The WOO Big Air Challenge winners boost their way to Cape Town
You may have seen some WOO and CORE Kiteboarding promotions online after their competition collaboration that offered the prize of flights and accommodation to Cape Town for five lucky riders. The categories were big boosting men, women and accumulated height. The following five riders will be in Cape Town from the 17 – 23rd to be trained by WOO record holder Joshua Emanuel and they’ll also get the chance to meet the King of the Air riders. Sweeeet! Congrats to:
Overall accumulated height winner, Peter Nieuwenhuizen, from the USA who stacked up 36 kilometres worth of boosting!
Karen Hou from Taiwan who logged a 19 metre jump.
Ben van der Burg from Holland who took the men’s win with 24 metres max height.
The two wildcards, also from the Netherlands, are Maarten Haeger, who’s just 16 and Erik Blokker who was leading the whole challenge for three-and-a-half months before being pipped to the post by Peter.
