Kitesurfing - Caribbean - Zenith Ocean Voyages

The Ultimate Caribbean Kitesurfing Holiday from a Catamaran

Imagine having a multitude of amazing kite spots as your own personal playgrounds for your kitesurfing holiday? Look no further... Zenith run catamaran kite trips / kite surfaris to idyllic destinations in the Caribbean that are totally free of traffic. Their premier catamaran, designed specifically for kitesurfing, will take you to new pristine locations every day that are only accessible by boat. The vessel is state of the art (2010) and holiday packages cater for the discerning kitesurfer looking for the top level of service in Caribbean kitesurf charters. Zenith Ocean Films will also shoot a trip video for you all included in the package. Relive your best kite vacation ever with a unique digital media service.

Zenith visits locations across the entire Caribbean chain, from Antigua to Los Roques and all the way to Curaçao. Over 1,000 sea miles of kite spots; no other catamaran goes further offering the Mega Trips for extended kitesurfing expeditions. Expect to be served up mainly butter flat water for wakestyle riding, although a peppering of waves can be found for experienced riders on the reef breaks. Most spots have offshore winds that create the smoothest water for your progression curve as well as loads of space downwind of the launch points. Barbuda in Antigua and Las Aves in Venezuela are two very popular highlights. Typically there are NO other kiters, just you and the crew! Itʼs all yours to enjoy and explore.

Beginners can learn in all the free space they can dream of and take advantage of offshore breezes without the need to worry about getting dragged back to the beach. Zenith beginners learn fast and progress to the upwinding stage very efficiently and without worries as the dinghy is always on standby for rescue and return to the boat or beach. A unique aspect of a Zenith trip is boat launching. Anchoring in remote places and then launching from the boat, when it comes to lunch time the kites are tethered to the stern, ready for your next session while you refuel your body.

The Zenith team chose the Caribbean because it is home to world class kiteboarding locations powered by the tradewinds with warm tropical waters and a vast choice of spots. Their Eastern Caribbean season runs from November through to June and Western season is July to September. Steady 15-20 knots blow for the majority of each month. Christmas and June typically see increased trades before the season changes from NE, swinging E to SE. The prevailing direction is from the east. And don't worry about bringing a wetsuit as this is the tropics, the yearly temperature never fluctuates outside of 26-29°C.

Zenith is sponsored by Flexifoil and has a full range of gear onboard for you to use. If you want to travel light, just take your harness, or supplement your own quiver and bring your trusted steed. Typically a 75kg rider will need a 10 and 12m for these trips. Zenith offers a 30% discount for guests to buy online gear from Flexifoil.

The Zenith catamaran is the Caribbean's most modern, luxurious vessel for a kitesurf charter. She was designed specifically for kiting with dedicated board racks and dry storage in a forward cabin for your kites. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms with 50 inches of headroom over the beds and over six feet of headroom all around the boat. Three seperate lounging areas on deck and a new saloon lounge provide between session relaxation. 220v generator, 400w of solar power, 1000w inverter, 180 l/hr water maker, two fridges and a freezer mean that once you leave the dock and set sail you will want for nothing during your trip. The boat systems are designed to keep you kiting in paradise for as long as you want... she is a floating five star hotel!

Zenith offers only all-inclusive trips. Your hostess Andrea has ten years professional experience at the top flight of the yachting industry. She now lives and loves the kite scene with Zenith, serving bespoke menus specifically for your group needs. The team work hard to provide the culinary experience you want, with guests always amazed at the quality and presentation of meals onboard. If you want to go ashore, your menu plan can be adjusted for you. All alcohol, soft drinks and spirits are included... Zenith does it all.

Kite trips to multiple spots within 7, 10, 14 or 21 day excursions are available.
The 7 and 10 day trips run throughout the season and typically concentrate on small groups of islands.
The 14 and 21 day trips are called the Mega-Trips, sailing 400-500 nautical miles.
Zenith is again unique in offering extended kite cruises covering 15 islands or more! The March Mega-Trip is mid-season and the Summer Mega-Trip is in July.

Group bookings are for private full boats accommodating six guests with a single berth available for a seventh. Single cabin bookings are for those who would like to join a cruise with other kiters from around the world and leave having made new friends.

Where you go and when is tailored for each group. Families often prefer locations for beginners and beach/island activities, while the die hards may opt for spots that suits their progression needs. Inter-island downwinders, wave spots or nightlife for the party animals are thrown into the mix for your perfect Caribbean kite trip.

It is rare to have a ʻno windʼ trip on Zenith. The trades ensure you will kite most of the time. For light wind days though they have a Naish Fly 15m for those who want to cruise and explore the reef. If freeriding is not your bag then they have SUPs, great snorkeling, outsourced dive options, lsland excursions to soak up the local culture, fishing outings for your daily catch, a 15hp outboard for wakeboarding, ʻJerryʼ the guitar... or you can just simply relax onboard and see the Caribbean from the best vantage point ever.
