She finished runner-up in the PKRA this year, and that's without being able to compete in the final round through injury. BEST WAROO 2010 - THE UPGRADES

Best's Waroo has long been one of the most popular kites on lots of beaches. This year it's had quite a make-over. Our very own Gok Wan, Miguel Willis, talks us through the major changes and the differences they will make to your riding.

He learnt his video-making skills at Fat Sand and also throws down a mean hand at the wake-style table.

But did you know the British number 2 was also in the National Youth Orchestra? An insanely talented jazz trumpet master, it seems a kite isn't the only wind instrument in his arsenal. He features in issue #43 alongside other talented musicians from kiteboarding's ranks.

NEW LENS MASTER GALLERIES - AMATEUR TAKE-OVER 

Farm kid Cheryle Battrum and director of mergers and acquisitions, Andrew John, have both featured in our new Lens Master – Amateur galleries over the last couple of months. Now, regular Kiteworld contributor Carlos Altamirano fires things up. The sales representative from Guadalajara, Mexico likes nothing better than getting his snap on at his local spot – Villa Corona. (Once he's finished shredding himself, of course).

We test four surfboards in issue #43, from North, F-One, RRD and also Resin8  - a surfboard brand who are getting boards under a lot of pro kiters feet because of brilliant designs from Wade Tokoro and Sam Egan and the incredibly, tough / light construction combo they employ. 

This is a surf movie, so maybe not to everyone's tastes, but if you like a wave and want some info on the boards and the designers, it's killer. Running time: 27 minutes and features all the main boys, from Fanning to Garcia.
