There is only one week to go until the biggest kiting event Venezuela has ever seen will be charging through its door. Set to be held in the famous 'playa la punta' on Isla de Coche, you can expect nothing less than three whole days of pure kiting freeride ecstasy along with killer parties to keep the adrenaline high off the water.

Last years event had an amazing turnout of both national and international riders. In fact there was the largest amount of home grown talent in the history of the sport in Venezuela. This year playa la punta will be celebrating ten years of kiting in the country and an epic turnout looks guaranteed. The event will be used not only to promote the destination but will offer a two hour free beginner kite tuition class on the water with land equipment demo. They'll also be free scuba diving introductions, a sunset yoga session and advise from the top kiting schools in the country. On the Sunday there will be a sky diving exhibition along with photo and video projections of the last ten years later that night.

One hours free drinking will be on offer each day of the event which is bound to help towards creating a great atmosphere at the three beach style parties each night.

There will be no competition at the event but prizes will be given away to kiters and members of the public. It's all about the free riding, so be prepared to learn, have fun and do some serious celebrating! There'll even be a kit raffle on the Sunday night to cap things off.
