The sport association NewKiteZone and the Italian Sailing Federation FIV VI Zona for Calabria and Basilicata present the 3rd edition of the long distance race for kiters and windsurfers which is set to take place in the South of Italy, in Reggio Calabria, a fantastic spot facing Sicily.
'The Crossing Race' involves kiters and windsurfers racing across the Strait of Messina, from Reggio Calabria to Messina and back, in front of the Europes highest erupting and smoking volcano, Etna, in a absolutely amazing scenario!

During the five days' event programme are also slalom races, freestyle windsurf and kitesurf shows, 2011's gear exhibitions and tests, accompanied by animation and speakers on the Reggio Calabria's sea front.
