Last issue we brought you the Machine, Slingshot’s ultimate light-wind kite. However, like a Formula 1 car needs fat tyres, the Machine works best with a board specifically designed for super-light wind. The Glide is Slingshot’s answer to fat tyres; its large surface area and shape mean that the least amount of power is needed to get the board planing. The board and kite package as a whole are extremely efficient, and once you’re on the plane you can trim the Machine to go faster and faster because of the reduced drag from the board.
