35 local kiteboarding enthusiasts joined in on the first of many races in Seattle this past weekend enjoying a 20-30 mph session on the Saturday that generously lasted for 3 hours. The perfect amount of time to get the race of the mark and provide some solid results. Race Director, Andrew Koch looks back on the events huge success - 'We expected about 10-15 guys to sign up, so we are very pleased to see so many people excited about racing up here (in Seattle)'
Seattle Yacht Club Kiteboard RaceFour races were run in each class; race board, surfboard & twin tip. The Seattle Yacht Club provided all support boats and was instrumental in setting up the race course. Thanks to Urban Surf, a local surf and kiteboarding shop for providing the prizes.
Keep your eyes pealed here on the Kiteworld for news of the next race which is planned for sometime in November
