Set in one of the most popular windsports beaches in Scotland, enjoying a long stretch of golden sand, gentle waves and shallow lagoons, backed by a lush grassy rigging area, looking across to the majestic hills of the Isle of Arran, Barassie beach in Troon hosts one of the most exciting weekends on the Scottish outdoor calendar. The Scottishwindfest combines a fun fuelled family friendly beach event with exhilarating on the water activities and competitions focussed on participation for riders of all ages and abilities from novice grom to pro silver surfer!
Featuring the (becoming legendary) 'beach to beach challenge' which gives the opportunity of kitesurfers compete against windsurfers in a tactical battle of speed and endurance between the two main beaches, around the headland from one side to the other side of town.
Everything on site from camping to hot food and a range of activities to keep all the family amused, with trade and industry demos, presentations and workshops including the latest kit and technologies, and a fully serviced bar open all day and night for refreshments.
Evening entertainment in the marquee hosts live music on the Friday and the awesome Red theme party on the Saturday.
Scottishwindfest is a grassroots non-profit event event run by volunteers.
