RNLI Rescue Kiting Pair
Two kiters became entangled in each others lines just off Holme beach on Sunday 25 October. The kiters struggled to free themselves with the strong wind and tide working against them. In the end only one of the kiters managed to break free and was abke to swim to shore. The other kiter was rescued by the RNLI's Hunstanton lifeboat.
A kitesurfing instructor had recently visited the charity’s station to advise the crew on how best to rescue kiters and their kit. They have been putting this advice into practice in their recent rescues.
