Remi Meum wins 2010 Snowkite World Champs
Over 70 snowkiters managed to find there way to Lake Reschenin Italy between the 29th and 30th of January to take part in the Snowkite World Championships. For three days riders from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Norway and the Czech Republic had their kites circling around the frozen lake in hopes to take home the gold. Eventually though it was Remi Meum who saw off the fierce competition and was crowned the 2010 champion. Remi had been training hard with his friends from Snowkitefilm this winter in preparation for the event. Not only with his kite, but also at the custom built cablepark at Remi's farm back in Norway. “The cross training between snowkiting and the Sesitec System 2.0 on snow is the ultimate combination to stick new tricks and to stay in shape before any competition,” says Remi. Looks like his training paid off.
Heiner Brandstätter came second in the event and Jan Schiegnitz took home third respectively. Well done to all competitors and especially to the new world champ, Remi Meum.
