Records!

The Kitesurfer Taro Niehaus beat his record in a smashing way! His South African Record, held since 2011 on the channel, is now changed to 53.01 knots.

Sebastian Cattelan, the French record holder and the engineer of the channel, reached a striking 55.36 knots. Only 2.2 knots outside the world record and he continued to achieve between 53 and55 on each run.

If the wind in the second part of the day was not so gusty, probably the world kitesurfing record would have been broken!
