In Freestyle, riders will battle it out against an opponent in an 7-minute heat and will try to out-perform each other with some of the most difficult moves in kiteboarding that they can land. Judges will base their decisions according to the number of moves landed, technical difficulty, power, speed and kite angle. In Big Air / Best Trick, riders must do their best tricks as high up in the air as possible while the Race involves a spectacular showdown of kiteboarding speed and agility where riders race to the finish line as fast as they can.
The Tarifa round of the PKRA World Tour is sponsored by Movistar and Nokia, and already has more than 50 registered kiteboarders from more than 20 different nationalities, who will share US$40,000 worth of awards and prizes.
