NASSI Day 3

INTRO - Update from Damien Leroy who is competing in Martha's Vineyard

It was a beautiful but cold morning in the Vineyard for the 2013 NASSI. We had good pressure with winds gusting 25knots! The temperature was not so ideal as it was in the forties. The wind was a little tricky as it kept shifting, making it very hard for the race comity to start the race. Everything fell into place and we started the 3rd race at about 2pm. As the winds started to build riders switched from SL boards to Speed boards picking their weapon of choice.  Challenging conditions to say the least! In the end Rob Douglas and myself followed by Jamie Douglas took the top three spots.

A few personal records broke today: Nicholas Parlier had a top V max speed of 45 knots on a SL board as well as my personal best on a SL board at 45 knots. Rob Douglas had a blistering 47 knot max speed!

The forecast looks promising for tomorrow let the racing continue…
