55 of the worlds top riders will soon be battling it out for the title of 2009 World Champion for their respective disciplines in Essaouira, Morocco. The event will start on the 5th December and runs until the 13th December. Registration is on the 4th December.
The four disciplines being held will be Freestyle, Wave Masters, Course racing, Juniors and Kiteloop.
This is the last chance for the riders to push up the rankings and take the overall titles for the year. A star-studded line up is on offer within the Men's Wave Master and the Freestyle disciplines, with the likes of Peter Tyushkevich (RUS, FLEXIFOIL), Leander Vyvey (BEL, JN), Jesse Richman (HAW, CABRINHA), Jan Marcos Riveras (DOM REP, STARKITES), Mitu Monteiro (CV, F-ONE), Cameron Dietrich (US, Cabrinha), Forest Bakker (FR, Flexifoil), Bruno Sroka (FR, Cabrinha), Mike Schitzhoffer (AUS, JN) and Vincent Tiger (FR, F-One) all looking for their championship title for 2009.
For the women, Kari Schibevaag (NOR, OZONE) will be fighting off challenges from Kirsty Jones (UK, NORTH), Gisela Pulido (SPA, AIRUSH), Kris Kinn (USA, Best) and 2008 world champ Ania Grezlinska.
