Kiteracing Oceanic Championships Day 2

NEWS SUMMARY FROM KITERACING OCEANIC

Despite obtaining a penalty in Race 6 today for breaking the start, World Champion Florian Gruber from Germany held his lead finishing top after Day two of the Kiteracing Oceanic Championships at Leighton Beach, Fremantle, with British youngster Olly Bridge and Maks Zakowski from Poland only 6 points behind.

In the Women's racing, Aga Grzymska held her lead for two of the three races today, with Ariane Imbert from France retaining second fastest position, well ahead of the other racers.

Tomorrow the course racing will be followed by the first heat of the Freestyle Jam, from approximately 3pm, where competitors aim for the best jumps, stunts and big air to score the best points.  With sunset markets, the Oceanics Bar, Aussie Beach BBQ and free twilight movie screening, there will be plenty of action both on and off the water.
