KB4girls 2010: Egypt
The Annual Kite Jamboree Festival held in El Gouna, Egypt was host to the latest KB4girls training clinic with Kristin Boese from 18th - 20th May. Participating girls travelled from nine different countries and four different continents to the event which also included demos of the latest kiting gear, competitions, parties and much more. With winds over 30 knots the conditions for the female kiteboarders were not the easiest by far. On day one KB4girls organizer and trainer Kristin Boese and the participating girls stayed on the beach and focused on technique and other methods for new tricks and style enhancement. The following two days the girls were able to ride, withstanding the extreme conditions but successfully learning some new manoeuvres and vastly improving their riding.

Participant Ingrid Van der Heyden expressed her joy on the whole event, “I am so happy, I landed back flips and one foot jumps and proved to myself that I can ride in conditions like this. In Thailand we never get strong winds so I had never used a small kite like this before. I was a bit nervous in the beginning but am very glad we went out in the end.”
Kristin Boese had nothing but praise for the group saying, “This group of girls was very special and only because they paid such close attention and I knew I could rely on them I went out with them in the strong winds. It has been an intense three days for me and of course I was very attentive until the very end. But somehow the extreme conditions really bonded us together as a group with everybody being there for each other making it a very special KB4girls event for me.”
