IKO Seek New Communication Manager
Responsibilities include:
• External communications for all product lines, including kiteboarding standards, training programs, product launches, web site, publicity, public relations, media outreach
• Marketing and communication strategy, planning, implementation and measurement
• Execute brand image in all areas
• Management of budgets and deadlines
• Management of media relations
• Co-ordinate online sales and advertising campaigns with our external online marketing manager
• Writing of all literature for the organization (newsletters/press releases/articles/web content/etc)
• Proof reading of all literature
• Management of online communications (social medias, blogs, forums)
• Reputation management
Skills
The Requirements
- Experience in marketing and communications, sales support, branding, and promotions
- Experience developing marketing/communication plans and strategies, as well seeing to implementation
- Excellent written communication skills with experience producing annual reports, ad copy, press releases, web content, as well as a variety of sales collateral
- The ability to combine electronic and traditional direct marketing techniques and integrated campaigns
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent copywriting skills using best-practice for maximum search-engine visibility
- Must be able to work independently on projects for multiple audiences and must be able to manage external suppliers including photographers, printers, designers and writers
- Solid understanding of internet/web tools: new media, social media, e-marketing, search engine optimization, web trends, analytics, user generated content and blogs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical
- Strong time and project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in Intercultural communications
- Proven ability in developing and delivering results-based communications and marketing strategies and plans

The IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) based in Cabarete, Dominican Republic sets the worldwide training standards for the kiteboarding industry. It provides teaching content and material for instructors, as well as quality and safety standards for schools and instructors which are recognized and applied throughout the world. Founded in November 2001, the IKO is now considered the governing body for kiteboard standards and instruction.
