Flysurfer (Issue #14 - Mar /Apr '05)

FlysurferDesigned for light wind riding, heavy weights and beginners, the brilliantly named 'Flydoor' is Flysurfer's first venture into board production. Most larger boards still don't plane as early as one would expect, feel cumbersome and get out of control very easily. The 159 cm Flydoor is, thanks to its parabolic outline, unique in its performance. Few other boards will get you planing earlier or point higher. Its extra float and drive mean you can go down a kite size or two and save yourself a bucket-load of cash on buying that bank-breaking monster kite. It's great to see that Flysurfer is listening to the riders on the local beaches - and not just the hotshots from Hawaii who are blessed with strong winds everyday. (Although you try telling Jeff Pfeffer that - Ed)
