Good vibes coming up in North East England
The charity fundraising event ‘East Coast Visions’ is coming to Newcastle next week on the 20th of April for a night of inspiring talks, movies and music. Alongside some interesting speakers from the kiteboarding and surfing worlds, British Olympian & BBC snow sports correspondent Jenny Jones will also be giving a talk on her road to the Winter Olympics in Sochi 2014 where she won the first ever medal for team GB in snowboarding. Her story of Olympic success is nothing short of inspirational, and serves as an empowering message of undying self-belief to guys & girls chasing their dreams and is just one of the inspirational talks lined up for the upcoming event.
There’ll also be a presentation from Northeastern kite and surf local legend Anto Baird about his ski-touring trip to the remote island of South Georgia as well as numerous other epic tails of adventure and wave and wind seeking. KW health contributor Kate Chandler will also be giving a talk on her nine years living and shredding in Taiba, Brazil!
On top of all that, a fundraising raffle will be in full effect with a custom ‘Visionary’ Hornet model surfboard up for grabs that was shaped in the North East (of course!).
