Big Guns Confirmed for Triple-S 2009 30 May - 5 June

Real Kiteboardings Triple S Event Cape HatterasThe 2009 Triple-S Invitational is scheduled for 30 May ? 5 June in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Triple-S stands for 'surf', 'slicks' and 'sliders' and this year's event will see 24 of the world's best freeride kiteboarders travel to Cape Hatteras to redefine what is possible with our sport. Already confirmed are Ruben Lenten, Aaron Hadlow, Andre Phillip, Jason Slezak, Sam Bell and more. The bottom line? Who can push the sport the furthest in seven days !
This is the fourth annual Triple-S Invitational with its unique 'freeride', no heat concept. Competitors are free to ride when they want and for how long they want. There is also no penalty for falling. Actually, there is an award for the best wipeout and, trust us, with sliders as large as most houses, you do not want to win this! The freeride format allows riders to push themselves and other riders to new levels since there are no pressure constraints of heats and elimination. The result is a level of kiteboarding that is significantly higher than in normal contests and an event that participants and spectators look forward to all year long. This event format is gaining steam worldwide with other events like Red Bull Kite Punks adopting the same freeride no heat system.
The Triple-S Invitational is hosted by Real Kiteboarding with their legendary waterfront facility, Real slider park and access to some of the best flat water and wave riding venues in the world. Four year event sponsor Outer Beaches Realty supply four 'pimp-tacular' waterfront homes for the Triple-S riders and media staff, all with pools, hot tubs, king beds, game rooms, movie theatres, sound systems and Triple S Wild Car videosClick the image for all the Triple S Wild Card video entries more. Let's just say they live like kings and queens for a week! The 2009 Triple-S will feature seven parties, five live bands, the best kiteboarding and kitesurfing in the world, and two overall winners that will walk away with the overall Triple-S titles.
