Advance already have a long history in paragliding design, so they’ll be bringing plenty of foil findings to kiteboarding now they’ve moved into the tube market. The new tube kite, the Kobra, took 51 prototypes to perfect. Design commenced in 2002, and designer Robert, wanted to make a tube kite with all the quality of the foils generation. He says, The Kobra leaves no room for the superfluous, and focuses on what is essential for navigation. The innovation of the ‘Repower system’ allows a real power boost when you need it, so when you sheet in, the kite doesn’t lose power and is pretty useful for gusty conditions. Sizes are 9.4, 12.9, 17.7m.
