Without wind, we are but specs of dust with nowhere to go (or something like that). Avid Kiteworld reader Brian Byrne first got in contact last September, sharing his thoughts rhythmically about waiting for those all important gusts. Here's another little number he's cooked up which should hopefully inspire you as a new kiting season gets well underway.
A man stood alone upon the beach With windmeter in hand he did reach
Arm outstretched he held it high As if in ceremony to the sky
The figures they went up and down As he looked on with a mighty frown
Then they settled after some fuss “Nice one” he shouted we got twenty knots plus
He threw his kite upon the sand In the summer sun it looked quite grand
Pumped like a loon til it inflated Tied his lines off and felt elated
Ran down the beach and into the sea Off he went to try a back loop 360 |
