Clilck for the Ocean Rodeo Review
OR bill the 2009 Rise Venturi as the ultimate all-round freeride kite, perfect for beginner to pro. The 2009 Rise improvements include reduced diameter tubes and struts for less drag and weight. The air foil shape has been enhanced providing increased windward performance and range while the geometry of the smaller sized kites (3, 4 and 6 metres) have been refined to increase their ease of handling. The planform construction gives the full size range of 2009 kites a similar turning feel and speed.
The SLE bar has also been the subject of a fair few tweaks such as a new moulded hub chicken-loop, which works on the same principle as Ocean Rodeo's already very popular 2008 release system. We demo'd it first hand at Surf Expo in Florida recently and there's nothing more simple, making for super-fast re-assembly on the water. You can actually choose from three different sizes of chicken-loop that will complement your riding technique and style and are a doddle to change, too. There's also a separate leash attachment and trim line adjustment, both of which are still below the bar and there's a tension adjuster on the stopper.
Hailing from the chilly waters of Canada, Ocean Rodeo have spent a lot of time figuring out how to stay warm on the water and also produce a must-have for the winter. Check out their dry suit on page XXXXXXX
