EH are whipping out three production boards next year, constructed from a wood, foam ABS mix with unidirectional carbon, bidirectional S glass and finished with a tough ABS-Urethane top skin. The shapes are focussed on a high upwind ability without sacrificing speed and looseness. Ariel Corniel has won several international events thanks to being able to stay in the competition area during a heat which is vital, as is doing your tricks without wasting time going upwind. A serious advantage and confirms that freestyle ability and upwind performance can come in one board. The 128 and 134 are performance orientated, while many schools opt for the mellower 140 for rental and teaching.
SIZES: 128 x 37, 134 x 38 and 140 x 40cm
The Ripper V5 is a heavily reinforced kite designed for experienced riders to attack extreme conditions. Performing in as little as 15 knots, its smooth power control and 20 knot range make it an ideal kite to surf strapless, while its huge range and ability to absorb gusts with ease makes catching big, gliding air a piece of cake. The build of the kite is exceptional; six centre leading edge segments have been constructed with doubled-up Dacron, there's a ? inch webbing reinforcement between the struts and leading edge, a Dacron trailing edge, double PU on the bladder tips, an SLE attachment with double back up and full Dacron tips with Kevlar rub pads. 'Pump harder Mr Puniverse...I can barely feel it!' Ooh, she's tough.
SIZES: 14, 12, 10, 9, 8 and 6m
