2010 Wetsuit Guide

INTRO > Don't let the cold weather stop you from amassing more moves over the winter. Get some new rubber and you'll stay warm and perform better

DRYSUITS:
INTRO > A drysuit is the ultimate in warm wear for the water, as long as you wear the correct under-layers. Drysuits have always
been quite fragile and somewhat cumbersome, which is why kiters have always preferred the wetsuit. Drysuit technology is changing though and suits are becoming tighter, more flexible and more practical for us as riders.

ION FUSION DRYSUIT
The Ion Fusion drysuit is a high-end performance suit, combining the advantages of conventional snug-fit drysuits and baggy-style nylon fabric drysuits with none of their weaknesses. Four millimetre thick neoprene insulation and an Ion Hot Stuff inside jersey make
for incredible heat retention even in ice cold conditions. Flexible neoprene construction provides awesome comfort in a non-bulky outfit for more movement and buoyancy. A SuperSeal dry-zipper, highly elastic latex cuffs and fully-glued and blind-stitched seams with additional seam tapes work together to keep you completely waterproof. Also comes with a hood to keep your bonce warm and dry.

WETSUITS:
INTRO > Tried, tested and tough enough for the job, the wetsuit is by far the most popular cold water wear

EXTRA PROTECTION > VESTS, BOOTS AND GLOVES:
INTRO > If you haven't quite worn out your seams from pissing in your suit each session and you can't justify splashing cash on a full new outfit, then adding one or two of these gimp-look beauties might not take you to the top of the fashion stakes, but they could mean you're the only one on the beach catwalk come January.

Ion's Ballistic and Plasma boots will take care of your feet.

The Ion Visor hooded vest promises to keep your head and body warm in cold waters. (This product is officially rated and worn by the Kiteworld team come times of serious cold water combat). (Right)
