Riding in Cape Town each year we also get the chance to admire the immense natural talents of ex-World Champions Kevin and Jalou Langeree. We doubt there is as keen and hungry a pair of kiteboarders in the sport, and these siblings chase wind and wave adventures with a voracious passion. The unwavering dedication in their approach to the sport is inspiring. We profile the Langerees and explore their journey in kitesurfing in issue #69's headline feature, including some fascinating stories of rivalry and triumph.
The Red Bull Unfastened strapless wave event saw Airton Cozzolino invite seven other top strapless riders to Sardinia for five days of progression and to push the level of strapless freestyle in April. Kiteworld editor Jim was a judge for the event and reports once more from the front line.
Elsewhere in the mag we visit Jordan and the Cyclades, plus there's a heap of vital technique advice as Brandon Scheid starts a project building you up to the unhooked front tail grab, this issue starting with the hooked-in popped tail grab and the front roll. Plus there are all your favourite regular writers, including Mark Shinn on motivation, Aaron Hadlow on his future, Dr Gallate with more on our lust for kiteboarding and John Bilderback meets up with foiler Bryan Lake.
Kiteworld issue #69 will be a saucy little number, dressed with the finest in 2014 gear reviews, including the impressive stack of all-round kites, twin-tips and surfboards from our Cape Town test sessions.
